A.P.J (Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen) Abdul Kalam was initially a Scientist and turned as a Politician from the support of ruling and opposing parties of India, Bharatiya  Janatha Party and Indian National Congress and he is one of the Names of Famous people around the globe.

He is popularly called as “People’s President”.

A.P.J Abdul Kalam was born in Rameswaram, TamilNadu, India and studied Physics and Aerospace Engineering.

He carried out his career as a Scientist and Science administrator at Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).

He was involved in Indian civilian space program and military missile development efforts. And so he called “Missile man of India”.

He also played technical and political role in Pokhran-II Nuclear tests in 1998 after the original nuclear test by India in 1974.

He also written many books for students career development such as “Wings of Fire”, “India 2020”, “Ignited Minds”, “Turning points”, “Inspiring thoughts”, “Mission India” and so on.

Abdul Kalam received honorary doctorates from around 40 universities.

He was honored with Bharat Ratna in 1997. Later, Padma Bhushan in 1981 and Padma Vibhushan in 1990  for his work with ISRO and DRDO by Indian Government.
