Before Ninety Years, John Logie Baird invented “television”, where the rotating mechanism generated an image and was “the televisor” or “mechanical television”. He is one of the popular personality in the Names of famous people.
He was a Scottish Engineer and one of the Inventor of mechanical television and first color television picture tube.
J.L Baird wanted to be a soldier in Ist world war, but his poor health induced him to sit at workshop for some period.
In his childhood, he connected his bedroom and friend’s home via small telephone exchange pattern.

“Stooky Bill“, the head of a ventriloquist’s dummy was transmitted successfully to the “televisor” on 2nd October, 1925. This features shows five pictures per second.
While Baird’s system worked through mechanical scanning of rotating disk or mirror, other experiments were discovered electronic. Hence, Baird’s system was dropped finally with his death.
